Aims & Objectives

Many of us had to leave school without completing the secondary or senior secondary school.  Most of the students want to study but couldn’t attend regular classes.

The National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) was set up in 1989 by Govt. of India, Ministry of Human Resource Development as an autonomous organization.  It provides educational opportunities to all those candidates who wish to study for their better tomorrow.  The mission of NIOS is to provide education to all with special concern for girls, women, rural youth, working men and women.
